Casual gamer question
So I'm a casual WoW player, I don't really get as involved as many here, but I enjoy myself. I'm not in any guilds with my guys, I usually lvl one to 45-50, and start a new one to try something fresh.
Anyway, I started a new character last Thursday, a warrior. I'd like to build him up to be a decent tank for doing quests with a friend of mine, and for groups natch - but what I've noticed with him is that he will never, NEVER, stay rested. for example, I log off at an inn on Friday, didn't play on Sat, went on on Sun, and killed one beast higher lvl and boom, normal. ONE BEAST!
Is this normal? I ask because I've played my lock from lvl 44-49 and he never went normal the whole way. I figured the normal was an indicator you were playing too long, and to get some rest, but apparently not. So is there any way to get your chars to stay rested longer? I wish they'd just do away with it myself and make it one constant exp rate.....

Well I'm sure you already understand this, but at low level since the rest is accumulated on a % basis (15% day) of your level, you clear that pretty quick at low level.
Though as your describing it, doesn't seem right. And I imagine you're absolutely certain you're in a rest area.

You were not in a place getting rested experience would be the only reason for that. I can't say for sure why if you did in fact log out in an Inn, but that's why.

California I agree, you didn't logout in a capital city or INN.

Captain,
If you ever want advice regarding the warrior - I ended my WoW days with a tier 5 content protection tank.
I can answer alot of questions.

There are a few inns out there that have "dead zones" where you aren't getting rested status. If, when you type /logout, or /quit, it doesn't exit immediately, but instead your character sits down and a counter/dialog box pops up, you're not going to be accruing rested status as fast as you would in an inn. But you should have gotten more than one mob's worth of rested, even if you were outside and inn.

Thanks for the replies - YES, I was at an inn, my exp bar turns blue, and logout is instant, not the 20 sec thing. I'm going with Raptor's explanation on the lower level, and since you gain exp. quicker towards levels early, so you hit your % faster. It just reeeeaaaaalllly sucks!
