It's the rallying cry of the nostalgic, that old content must be preserved for anyone who wishes to go see it, or for any non-BC players who may want to go raiding. However, just out of curiosity, I was wondering how many people were aware of this little tidbit.
If anything is done to MC is should be revamped for 5-10 man groups. Encounters should also be designed with their new idea of 'shorter = funner' type of dungeons in outland. I hate doing pre-bc instances because they're so long and boring. I wouldn't mind seeing some of the places I've never been to but if I have to be bored to get there I'd rather just skip it.
If it came down to it I'd rather Blizzard spent time on new fresh content than revamping old stuff.
I think the problem is they killed the reward. People used to do it for good loot, but why would you go do that for 'killer epix' when you can get practially better green gear off the AH now?
Now, I know a lot of people will say they don't want it like FFXI where the same good gear from back in the day is good now and people are forced to do the same content, but I don't see it that way:
The level cap is now 70, people can do new things; but wouldn't it be cool if new players, on their way to 60, got to experience some of the orginal content? It was good stuff! Leave expansions for people who went through the original game already and are moving on, but for people who are going up now, make it worthwhile for them to put the time in to do it while they're in their 60's for good gear too. Blizzard, have faith that you did good stuff the 1st time and its still good stuff that you shouldn't overwrite by making it not worthwhile.
